3 Accessing PowerTeacher PowerTeacher is web-based. All you need is an Internet connection and a web browser.

38 Taking Attendance Back at the Start Page you will notice a green dot next to the class name indicating attendance has been submitted to the Data Manager.

39 Updating Attendance If a student enters class late and you are required to update attendance, simply click on the chair again.

40 Updating Attendance Choose T (Tardy) from the code list.

42 Updating Attendance Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Submit.

43 Updating Attendance You are returned to the Start Page.

44 Multi-Day Attendance If you would like to update attendance from past dates, click on the Attendance Grid icon next to a class.

45 Multi-Day Attendance Click on Edit to choose the range of dates.

46 Multi-Day Attendance Select the dates you wish to view and click Update.

47 Multi-Day Attendance Dates that the class did not meet will be greyed out.

48 Multi-Day Attendance Double-click on an available cell and choose the appropriate code for a student.

52 Creating a Seating Chart Click on the seat-grid icon to create a seating chart for classes.

53 Creating a Seating Chart You will be asked if you want to have the layout made automatically. Whether you answer OK or Cancel, you can edit your seating layout. I will click OK.

68 Accessing Student Information The backpack icon, when clicked, leads you to the Student Information screen.

70 Accessing Student Information Click on the student's first name to go to the last student screen viewed. i.e. - If you last looked at an Attendance page, clicking the student's first name will take you to the Attendance page for that student.

71 Accessing Student Information Click on a class name to change the current list of students to those in that class.

72 Accessing Student Information Use the drop-down to choose what information you want to access.

73 Student Information- Notable Screens Cumulative Grade Information Displays the student's overall academic performance.

74 Student Information- Notable Screens Demographics Displays student's contact information, parents/guardians' names, etc..

75 Student Information- Notable Screens Meeting Attendance Displays an overview of student's attendance for all classes.

76 Student Information- Notable Screens Quick Lookup Displays an overview of student's grades and attendance for all classes.

77 Student Information- Notable Screens Schedule View the student's entire class schedule.

78 Student Information- Notable Screens Submit Log Entry Schools can choose to use this screen as a way to communicate a running record with the front office.

80 PowerTeacher Start Page Daily Bulletin An online bulletin board for staff to post announcements, messages, and reminders to other staff, students, and parents.
