Civic virtues By: TJ Beaumier
Frugality Frugality is the practice of acquiring goods and services in a restrained manner. I chose frugality because most Vermonters dont have a lot of money. We need to save it and only spend it when it is absolutely necessary.
Some ways to be frugal. Reducing electricity use: If you can use just a little bit less electricity every day, you can save money.
Some more ways to be frugal. If you live in a city, you could buy a filter for your water so that you do not have to keep buying water bottles. This does not save money in the short-term, but it does after enough time.
Some more ways to be frugal. Dont just go for a drive just for the sake of going for a drive. Fuel is getting more and more expensive and it is wiser to try to pack as much stuff as you can into every trip.
Some more ways to be frugal. Pay attention when you go shopping for food. If you look and wait, you can find the foods that you are looking for much cheaper than normal.
What this has to do with Vermont. Well, Vermonters generally do not have money to waste. This PowerPoint will help those people to be frugal.
