4. What is a tutor-is one that gives additional, special, or remedial instruction. It is important that the site director matches each student with a tutor to help them with their academics. Depending on the number of tutors at the site and students a tutor may be assigned to 5 students at different age and academic levels. After school programs are able to provide the necessary learning tools such as blocks, numbers, colors and charts to help them with their academics. A tutor and site director collaborate to find a fun but educational ways to help students remember what they learned Tutoring

Time Management A tutor is to help and make sure that the student homework is completed in the time that needs to be spent A student must know and understand that time management is very important as they continue to grow After time a significant amount of time has been spent on homework a child is now rewarded to engage in free time with staff or other peers

6. Activity Planning A site director and staff are to find activities that all ages can participate in. It is important that as a tutor you are engaging yourself in the planned activities. Activities can consist of arts and crafts, computers time, learning a song or other activities presented by staff, site director or student.

7. Parental Resources Many parents provide valuable resources that are helping for other parents and their children in their community or schools.
