3 Academic Advising - Our Mission Our mission is to enhance student success by engaging students in making informed choices about their academic planning. We are dedicated to lifelong learning and strive to be leaders in student development.

4 Academic Advising We do this by providing information: Program Requirements Majors/Minors Determining best use of electives Essential tools for degree planning Dealing with disappointing grades Learning Support– coaching on study skills, exam strategies, etc. Impacts of withdrawals or failed courses Explaining UBC Okanagan policies and procedures Connecting students with campus partners who can further assist them
