8 Indigenous response Most Latin American governments provided the political backing for European and United States companies to Invest in Latin America These corrupted governments were often revolted against, such as in Mexico

9 Results of independence
The Philippines was granted its independence by the United States in 1937, and are now a stable independent democracy Fidel Castro holds a communist revolution beginning in 1953 and is exiled, but will successfully take control of the state as prime minister of the communist party in Cuba is communist to this day
