Agriculture, as first sector of production, recognizes the importance of careful environmental management. It highlights the fact that the current success and future growth of the industry can only be sustained if environmental issues such as water use are addressed. 4 Why is water so important in wine production?
Wine production needs a great amount of water. We use it for washing, cleaning and sanitation of machinery, tank, pipes, barrels and bottles. These steps avoid that the wine touches foreign elements and other products. The purpose is a wine with healthy and organoleptic quality. How can you save water & energy in your wineries? 7 CIP (cleaning in place)
The machine is provided by an automatic, electronic and auto-recycling system of detergents and solution for washing. There are 2 system of CIP 1 stage system: con EDTA that cause ambient problem Double-stage system: whit caustic and acid solutions that need high consumption of water, energy and reagent. 8 Water cleaner at medium pressure

9 High-pressure wash (HPLV-high pressure-low volume)

10 Countercurrent washing

11 Pre-washing and dry cleaning of the working area

12 Air pressure The air pressure system could be used to clean pipes.

13 Membrane systems These processes use the osmosis’ system.

22 Conclusion No heating water is saving energy
