A group of men who sent letters back and forth to one another. – The Sons of Liberty also formed groups in Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia » The Sons of Liberty groups in the different colonies used the Committees of Correspondence to communicate with one another

The Sons of Liberty was made up of middle class men – Craftsmen – Shopkeepers – Smiths, Black Smiths, Gun Smiths, Shoe Smiths, Silver Smiths etc... – Artisans The Sons of Liberty often performed violent protest against British laws in the colonies – Destroyed Property (burned stamps, destroyed houses, dumped tea into harbors) – Tarred and Feathered customs officials (tax collectors) – Hung threatening effigies of customs officials
