6. Hannah’s Prayer It’s encouragement  Encourages us to pray. God hears and answers prayer. “Prayer is a trusting act, a reaching out toward God by a person who truly relies on Him.” “I have heard them crying out..”, “and now the cry of the Israelites has reached me..” Ex. 3: 7,9. “This poor man cried out and the Lord heard him, and saved Him out of all his troubles.” Ps. 34:6. “From the end of the earth I will cry to you, When my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Ps 61:2

7. Hannah’s Prayer It’s victory  Go in peace  The God of Israel grant thee thy petition (v.17)  “Ask, and IT shall be given you; Seek, and you shall find; Knock, and IT shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7  God blessed her with Samuel  Blessed her with more- “And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The Lord give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the Lord. And they went unto their own home. 21 And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.” 1 Sam. 2:20-21

8. Hannah’s prayer Lessons learned  Be not hasty in judging others  Be sympathetic toward them whose hope is deferred. Pray for them  Pray when you are troubled  Respect and honor God appointed leaders  Find your joy in not the gift received but in the Giver
