11. SAT Information As a college prospect it is an absolute must to write the SAT test in order to be eligible to play college athletics. The SAT Reasoning Test measures your critical thinking skills that are needed for academic success in college. The SAT assesses your ability to analyze and solve problems. These are skills you learned in school that you will need in order to be successful in college. The SAT is generally taken by high school juniors and seniors. Each section of the SAT test is scored on a scale of 200-800, with two writing sub scores for multiple-choice and the essay. The SAT is administered five times a year in Canada.
