2. Searching for Information As part of your task organising the French trip, you need to find out about different options for the trip. You must store some of this information for use in Tasks 4 and 5 of this assignment Use a search engine and suitable search criteria to find information on the internet about the costs of different options for the planned trip (eg transport options – train/ferry/plane costs, sightseeing possibilities/places of interest, evening activities in Paris etc).

3. Searching for Information You need to show how to search the Internet for information. In PowerPoint put the title SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION You are going to start by finding out the costs of travelling to France by ferry, train and plane

9. How do you know if you can trust a website? Who wrote the page? Do you recognise the name or organisation? Is the person that wrote the page qualified? Does a big company own the website? How recent is the information? Please put this in your Internet Information table

10. Finding more information Search for more useful information and add these sites to your Internet information table. You must find out the cost of the adult fare from Dover to Calais by ferry. Now research the cost of flying from London to Paris Find out the train fare from London to Paris

11. Finding Information Find text and images to help make a booklet on sight seeing options in Paris. Research possible evening activities that are available in Paris Copy and paste any useful information you find into your PowerPoint

12. Copyright You need to explain what copyright is. This is a law to stop someone using other people’s work and files without permission. It prevents people from claiming other people’s work as their own

13. Avoiding Breaking Copyright Explain that you will give the source (web address or name of company/individual) of any information you decide to include in your work. Explain that you have listed the websites in your information table

14. Using Favourites to save web links Now you must show that you can create favourites to save links to web pages Right click your mouse on a web page
