3 Assessments Intake with Liz Jimmie, Yellow Cedar Learning Centre – at Cowichan SOI – evaluates personal learning styles and how it rates to the workplace/school setting Quick Q Brain Mapping – measures brainwaves in five different areas, identifies symptoms SA 45 – assesses emotional well-being

4 Member comments/challenges Why am I doing this? What a relief, I am normal – nothing wrong with me Silence – followed spouse Trouble getting to morning appointments Provided lunch and snacks Hey, I am smart. Whats in it for me?

5 Outcomes One member not working night shift at local grocery store One member working in an office setting and gaining experience Continuing Adult Basic Education Moving onto CAMERA assessment, work

6 Supports Individual Opportunities Worker follows up with members Members attending training, employment Community Leadership Initiative, Individual Opportunities Program is a life long employment strategy where there is no end of supports to members

7 Project Wrap up The project is wrapping up March 31, 2012 Cowichan Tribes Social Development is grateful to be a part of this process A special Thank You to the participants who took the risk!
