About TED TED is a global community  Looking for extraordinary thinkers to share ideas TED talks are held annually on the North American West Coast  Arrange conferences for inspired speakers  Give talks on what they are passionate about  These individuals have included o Bill Gates, John Green, Jimmy Carter, Monica Lewinsky, Takaharu Tezuka, Khalida Brohi, etc.

About TEDx TEDx is a program of self-organized conferences  Inspired by TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading”, on a local scale TEDx invites local speakers to present their inspiring ideas to local audiences  Live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are combined to give a TED experience to the community TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, by communities TEDx events are not nonprofit organizations

TEDxBrownellTalbotSchool Run by a well-organized group of high school students from Omaha Brownell-Talbot School Brownell-Talbot’s first ever TEDx event Our goal is to create a forum for students to learn from, to be inspired by, and to spread to others. The conference will take place at Brownell-Talbot School:  400 N Happy Hollow Blvd, Omaha, NE  November 15th, 2015

Finances Sponsors may donate anything ranging from a few hundred to a maximum of ten thousand dollars Donations would go toward the following:  Website costs  Stage work  Professional videographers  Off-stage signs and directions  Snacks, gift bags, and break entertainment  T-shirts and name badges  Speaker management  Video editing Extra funds will be saved for next year’s TEDx event
