1 The Public Relations Department is the Marketing arm of American Income Life We develop and maintain strong and long term partnerships within our marketplaces. Unions, Credit Unions, Associations. Many of our Public Relations Representatives come out of one of these marketplaces. Their background and experience play a big part in making these relationships successful. Can you see why the relationship between PR and you the agent is so important. We generate the leads you work and are able to advise you on the marketplaces Together we can ensure a high level of customer service for our clients and your success as an agent. The Role of Public Relations

2 How do we maintain and develop these relationships and partnerships? We support our marketplaces. We support what is important to them through our donations to their charities, scholarships for their members, and helping members in times of need We are involved, we attend functions, participate in golf tournaments, we are on the picket lines and at rallies. Our relationships are what sets us apart from other companies. We are not just a vendor, we have personal relationships with every group we work with, These relationships often turn into friendships and we can considered part their family. The Role of Public Relations Continued We implement the AIL Program that provides the members with no cost benefits and the opportunity to enroll in supplemental insurance plans.

3 The Basic program for all market places is the same for all our clients it provides and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Benefit at NO COST. ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT POLICY

4 And a Discount Card That give members Discounts at point of service and covers the entire family. And how we put the program in place is consistent for all groups.

6 Important Customer Service Tips. 1.Be Clear on the Phone – Members should know you are with AIL. 2.Always Leave the home with the member feeling good about the visit – Our market places are very interconnected. The member you visit today may work with the member you visit tomorrow. 3.Call the member to let them know you will be late or need to reschedule – Again, customer service in a market place where news travels quickly. 4.Communicate with your PR representative on out of town work- We can let the groups know you will be contacting their members. If the members call the groups they can confirm you are with AIL and it is ok to let you come to their home. We will give them your names. 5.Use Freshen Up letters – This will make booking an appointment easier, the member is expecting your call and reminded that they sent the card in. 6.Leave your cell phone number when booking appointments – members can contact you directly instead of contacting their group if they need to speak to you. 7.Be Proactive on any challenges you encounter in the field – use the on line incident report form to give us a heads up. We want to hear it all, good news, problems. Remember we are here to support you. 8.Always carry a copy of the correct letter and Read Off letter for each group. - It is always better personalized. No one wants to see a letter from a president they do not know.
