2 Stationary Drill turning Left Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure 1. Turn to left on the spot 1.Sekuad Ka-Kiri Pu- SING 1. Turn to left on the spot 1. One – Check – One NIL FRONT SIDE 1.Keep the stationary pose of locking arms at the sides, legs straight. 2.Turn 90 degrees to the left side, with the left leg at 90 degrees. 3.NO horse-kicking. 4.DO NOT hesitate. Be alert at all times. 1.Command is given when cadets are in Stationary posture. Make sure the arms are locked at the sides, legs straightened. 3. Timing continues to ‘– Check’. Raise left foot, knee bent at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. 4. Timing continues to ‘– One’. Put the right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect. 2. Timer says ‘One’. Turn 90 degrees to the left side. *ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE. One – One (refer to the diagram) When turning, make sure feets are in this formation that acts as a pivot. Right foot’s toes and left foot’s heel on the ground. – Check

Turn behind on the spot 1. One – Check – One NIL FRONT SIDE 1.Keep the stationary pose of locking arms at the sides, legs straight. 2.Turn 180 degrees to the right side, with the right leg at 90 degrees. 3.NO horse-kicking. 4.DO NOT hesitate. Sekuad Langkah Merusok, Ka-Kiri Ge Rak 2. Sekuad Berhen - TI 1. Stationary Drill – Closing to left 1.One Two, One Two… (5 to 8 steps) 2.Check NIL for first command Right leg for halting FRONT SIDE 1.Look to the front, keep the back straight and think of moving backward instead of forward. This ensures the crossing to be straight. 2.Legs are to be raised at 90 degrees all the time. 1. Stationary posture to be kept all the time. Make sure the arms are locked at the sides, legs straightened. 4. Halting command goes and the drill ends at “-TI”. Timer shouts “Check” at left leg after the halting command. Put the right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect. 5. Till other commands are given, remain in the stationary posture. 2a. Timing ends at “Five”, and at that timing, put the right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect. 5. Till other commands are given, remain in the stationary posture. 2a. At here, legs are not to be raised but the feet are not supposed to drag as well.

Make sure the arms are locked at the sides, legs straightened. 3. Timing continues to ‘– Check’. Raise right foot, knee bent at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. 4. Timing continues to ‘– One’. Put the right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect. 2a. Command goes, and timer says ‘One’. Turn 45 degrees to the right side. 1. Turn to right by 45 degrees on the spot 1.Sekuad Separoh Ka- Kanan Pu-SING 1. Turn to right by half on the spot 1. One – Check – One NIL FRONT SIDE *ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE. 10 Foot Drill Command Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure Hormat Ke- hadapan Hormat To execute a salute to the front while in a stationary position. Check Up, Check Down,Check Up, Check Down Nil -Thumb should be “tucked” behind the hand. -Hand should be tilted when saluting -Don’t anticipating the drill by starting to move the hand when the timing is ‘check’ 1. (Timing: Check) No movement required, get ready for the next action. 2. (Timing: Up) Right hand to be brought up in a swift action. Upper Arm to be parallel to the ground. Lower arm, hand and fingers to be straight. Hand should be slightly tilted inwards(45 degrees with respect from your hand to your face). 3. (Timing: Check) No movement required, get ready for the next action. 4. (Timing: Down) Arms to be brought down in a swift action. FRONT SIDE 1. Salute to the front FRONT SIDE **ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE. *Repeat Step 1-4 once more.

11 Foot Drill Command Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure Hentak Kaki, Cepat Hentak Quick Mark Time (March on the spot) Left, Right… -Maintain dressing -No dragging of boots or shoes -Look straight -Arms to be locked by your side throughout the execution of the command. -Follow the timing NIL 1.Stationary Mark Time FRONT SIDE 1.Command is given when cadets are in Stationary posture. Make sure the arms are locked at the sides, legs straightened. 2. Timer says “left”. Raise left foot, knee bent at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. Left 3. After raising left leg, immediately put it down with with the toes landing on the ground first followed by the rest of the foot. FRONT SIDE 4. Timer says “right” immediately after command is given. Raise right foot, knee bent at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. Right 5. After raising right leg, immediately put it down with with the toes landing on the ground first followed by the rest of the foot. **ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE. *Repeat step 2-5 till another command is given to stop.

Check (bang) Right Leg -Maintain dressing -No dragging of boots or shoes -Look straight -Follow the timing -Arms to be locked by your side throughout the execution of the command. 1.Command is given when cadets are in Hentak Kaki posture. Command ends on when your right leg is on the ground. Ma - Ju 1.Stationary Mark Time FRONT SIDE Check 2. Timer says “Check” when the right foot is put down. 3. After “check”, immediately put the left foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect FRONT SIDE 4. After the bang, immediately put out your left foot and right arm to the front and march off. Timer will continue by saying the marching command. *ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE.

(salute twice) Check one (bang) ; Check up; Check down; Check up; Check down; One-check-One(bang) Left leg 1.Saluting have to be precise and of the same standard as stationary saluting( arms 90degrees and fingers all straightened with only the thumb “tucked in”) 2.After turning to the back, marching is to be immediately continued like normal. 1. Saluting to Front during Quick March: FRONT SIDE 1. When command is given on your left leg while you are marching. 2. Timer says check on the right leg. Check 3. Timer says one on the left leg. One 4. When one is said, put hand to the side of the body. Raise right leg, knees bend at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. Put right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect 5. Timer says Check Up. Only raise your right arm to salute at “Up” and lock your left arm by your side. …..Up 6. Timer says Check Down. When timer says one, everyone concurrently turn to the back with arms locked by your side. After turning, right leg is to be infront and left leg behind. 16 Fast March Tilt Head to Right Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure 1.Sekuad, Pandang Ka- Kanan Pan-Dang 1.Eyes(tilt head) to Right 1.Check Up 1. Left Leg 1.Head is not to be turned but just tilted slightly so that your eyes can look to ur right. 2. Marching is to continue through out this command. 1. Eyes (tilt head) to Right : 1. When command is given on your left leg. FRONT SIDE ….dang 2. Timer says check on the right leg. Check.. 3.When Timer says Up on the left leg, tilt head slightly to right and eyes to the right too. At this point, marching posture is still maintained. …Up FRONT SIDE 4. With head tilted to right, continue marching and timer continue saying the marching timing (till the command for the head to be tilted back to the front is given). *ALL PICTURES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE VIEWED IN MODEL’s PERSPECTIVE.

24 Quick March – Changing Step Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure Sekuad, Tukar Langkar Semasa Berjalan, Tu kar Lang Kar x2 Changing Steps on the march and ensuring everyone is on the same leg. Check(bang) Right Leg 1. NO horse-kicking when banging. 2. Arms to be locked to your side tightly when banging. FRONT SIDE 1. Changing Steps on the March 1. When command is given on your right leg while you are marching. 2. Timer says check on the left leg. Check 3. After Check is said, put hand to the side of the body. Raise right leg, knees bend at 90 degrees. Toes should be pointed to the ground. Put right foot down with some force to achieve a “bang” effect *Step1-4 is a cycle of one “Tukar Lang kar”. 25 Quick March – Saluting to Left Command : Description: Timing: Command ends on : General Pointers Command Procedure Sekuad, Hormat Ka-Kiri Hor-MAT Saluting on the march, To the left salute (for 5 steps) Check; Up; Two; Three; Four; Five; Down Left leg 1.Saluting have to be precise and of the same standard as stationary saluting( arms 90degrees and fingers all straightened with only the thumb “tucked in”) 2.When saluting, head to be tilted to the left side slightly. 1. Saluting to Left during Quick March: FRONT SIDE 1. When command is given on your left leg while you are marching. 2. Timer says check on the right leg. Check 3.(a) Timer says up on the left leg. Everyone raise right arm to salute with head tilted to left side slightly. (b) maintaining the upper body’s posture, the timer will say “two three four five”. Each word means each step taken. ( two -> on right leg, three -> on left leg and so on. Up FRONT SIDE 4. Timer says down right leg. Upon “down” being said, everyone puts down right arm and lock arms by the side. The first person in front (leading the squad) will put their left leg to the left side and face left.
