4 Suffixes are added to the end of a root or a base of a word to get a new word.

5 The suffixes " – ize&-yze " are verb-making suffixes. They mean "to cause or become".

7 Meaning: to feel sorry for someone because you understand their problems Example: I sympathize, but I don’t know how to help.
