1. THE FISHING LINE We ‘re off to an exciting school year with 126 students coming throughout the week to be a part of Little Fishers Preschool. YEA GOD! We have some new teachers on staff. Ms. Christine Gruber and Ms. Melissa McDonald are the 2 year old teachers, and Ms. Tracy Williamson and Ms. Monica Yang will be in our 3 year old classes. Ms. Melissa Snyder has moved to the MWF Pre-K Teacher position. WELCOME! We are very blessed to have them added to our already gifted staff. John Hanson, Pastor Mac, Pastor Bauer, Ms. Susan, and I will start chapel on September 17 th. We will rotate during the school year doing the Chapel talks. We are asking parents to please hold off attending Chapel until sometime in October so we can get our students comfortable with the routine before they see parents appear in Chapel. I will give an “all clear” on the message board when we feel the children will be okay. Parents, please be patient, as this is an adjustment for your son/daughter. Please realize that they will come home tired, so remember to get them to bed earlier so they will feel well rested. WHAT’S COMING UP? We will start passing the brochures out on Monday, September 29, and end Friday, October 10. Volume 6 Issue 1 We are in the process of adding one more awning for our playground, slightly smaller than the one we already have. This will be a nice addition with added shade for our children during their outside time. Thank you to all the parents for giving your time to make our school the very best! This will give you an idea of your child’s daily activities and lots more information on the various curriculums we use. You may bring your child to the Open House so that they can share with you. It is so important to communicate with your child’s teacher and to understand what goes on in the classroom. I would love to see a great turnout with 100% participation!! Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Mark your calendar for our Spirit Night at Spring Creek Bar-B-Que on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-9. Spring Creek is on Hwy 6 across from Popeyes/HEB in Missouri City. Little Fishers gets a percent of ALL sales that night, so come out and enjoy some delicious food with the Little fishers staff and families. Introducing…Pizza Fridays! We will be providing Papa John’s cheese pizza, a fruit, a vegetable, and water/milk for only $5. You can get a sign up sheet from Ms. Kelly in the office. We will begin Pizza Fridays on September 12. Please note that if you decide the day of that you would like for your child to participate, the cost will be $7.00 per child. We accept cash or check made out to Little Fishers Preschool. We will host a VIP “Meet and Greet” coffee to connect with other Little Fishers families and discuss the needs for the Carnival, class parties, and our Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday, October 2, and Friday, October 3 at 9:30am.
