Choosing Your Courses The next few slides will review your options for each core area as well as elective choices. The classes listed in green are those that are typically taken by juniors. Those in black are also options but some are advanced and require teacher approval. Please make sure that you REFER TO THE ONLINE COURSE GUIDE so you are familiar with the course descriptions, the grade levels eligible to take certain courses and any prerequisites.

AP Courses If you are considering taking any AP courses next year, you must print off the “AP Contract” found in the Course Guide on page 67. Because AP courses require a huge commitment on your part, you are required to read and sign the contract. You must have a parent sign the contract as well. Turn the signed contracts into Mrs. Gress in the Counseling office.

No Schedule Changes!

SO…please select your classes VERY CAREFULLY!!! Due to district and building budget constraints, our class sizes will be very full next year. We will not have the ability to accommodate schedule changes as we have done in the past. Therefore, it is imperative that you select classes that you know you can live with because if you change your mind, we won’t be able to move you to another class. The ONLY schedule changes we will be able to make next year will be corrections if you were placed in the wrong level of a course or are missing something you need to graduate.

Don’t Forget… When you register for your year long classes, you have to enter in the course numbers for both semesters. Make sure you select BOTH S1 and S2. For example: –English I: 50300S1 AND 50300S2 –Algebra II w/ Trig: 60590S1 AND 60590S2

Steps for Online Registration:

Adding courses…

Removing courses…

The final step…

Double Check… Did I talk to my teachers about which classes I should take? Do I have a total of 14 classes? Did I sign up for BOTH semesters of year- long classes? Did I select FOUR elective classes as alternates? Did I have my parent sign at the bottom of the print out?
