2 Secondary school № 31 in past and today  Secondary school №31 was built in 1936. There was a field in this place. That time our school has an art and drama circles and komsomol and pioneer organisations. Komsomol members and pioneers had a lot of duties and looked after the school. They took part in different activities, organized subbotniks, helped pensioners, made friends with workes of the factory «Rabochiy Metallist». Great work with studying of native town was held by pupils of school. Trips and excursions to Kostroma and to other places and cities have been organising since that time. All pupils of our school are thankfull to teachers and administration and today they send congratulations and letters to our school collective with 70 years anniversary.

3 About our school My school is a two – floors building. It is quite big with sport ground behind and a beautiful garden with flowerbeds in front of it. My school is a two – floors building. There are all kinds of tools and machines in the workshops. The boys of our school have a woodwork room too. There is a room for manual works for girls. 4  If you enter the school and turn right you see a big light dining – room.  It is always busy and noisy, but it is clean. Here pupils and their teachers have their lunch. There are beautiful pictures on the walls.  There is a gymnasium on the ground floor as well. Our physical training lessons are held there. Pupils like to go there even after the lessons, because it has a lot of sport equipment.

5 Our school has many classrooms. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are three large windows in each classroom with flower pots on the window sills. Each room has teacher’s table, pupil’s desks, blackboard, tables and charts on the wall, maps and portraits. There are special classrooms for chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, English, Russian and literature.

6  Our classroom is on the second floor. Our form – minister is a teacher of Russian language and literature. We respect her very much; she is a kind and knowledgeable teacher. She teaches us Russian and we so fond of her subject, that each of us try to do the best studying Russian.

7 School Timetable. Our favourite subjects and teachers.  At school we study many interesting subjects, but the most interesting and lovely are physics, labour training, physical education and English language. It is always very interesting at physics lessons. We investigate a lot of new and carry out experiences and experiments, on labour training we cook and sew new things, on physical education we play, jump, run. At English lessons we read and translate texts, learn new rules and study a lot of interesting. We know a lot of about other countries, we like it very much. We like our subjects and teachers.

8 School Rules for students and for teachers  It is very interesting and very important to learn well at school. There are some rules at school. Some of them are for students and some are for teachers. Some rules are serious, but some of them are funny. Let’s start!

9 Rules for students Every student must wear an uniform. work hard. work quietly at your desk. raise your hand if you have something to say or need help. respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.

13 Our class Our class is 7«A».We study at school №31 in Kostroma. Our remarkable class-teacher is Stepanova Elena Evgenjevna. She helps us in difficult situations, teaches us literature and Russian language. With Elena Evgenjevna we travel to different cities. We have visited Vladimir city, Mushkin, Yaroslavl, St- Petersburg. We have visited different museums, theatres and exhibitions. Our class is 7«A».We study at school №31 in Kostroma. Our class is very friendly, cheerful; therefore, when we hold different holidays, everybody is happy, funny and merry. On holidays we arrange interesting competitions, difficult crossword puzzles both amusing riddles and ridiculous dances. 14 My school in 2100 We love our school very much. But we would like to see it more suitable and modern. We dream to have a computer on each school desk.
