Judgments that are made before, during, and after you read a story. –They help you understand what will happen next. –They help you understand characters feelings and relationships. –They help you understand cause and effect! –They help you decide the conflict and outcome of the story.

The plane not working right and they need to land. Pete swam across the lake.
