3.  Copy out the word repeatedly until you can write it correctly without thinking about it.  Copy out a misspelt word three times and attempt to learn it, using the system below: Look – Think - Cover – Say – Write - Check; - Look at the new word and visualise how it is written. - Think about how can you break it in to smaller parts? - Do any parts remind you of familiar words? - Cover the word. Say it to yourself. - Try saying it slowly in syllables or chunks of familiar smaller words. - Write it down whilst the word is covered. - Check to see if you were right. - Repeat, focussing on your mistakes.

6.  If there is a vowel before the final Y of a word, you just add S E.G. Storey becomes storeys  If there is a consonant before the final Y of a word, change the Y into i and add es. E.G. Story becomes stories The tower is six storeys high. I read three stories.
