3 Working with Section Breaks Section breaks  Define a portion of the document that will have separate formatting from the rest  Insert section breaks using the Layout tab 3

4 Working with Section Breaks See section breaks by choosing Home > Paragraph > Show/Hide Deleting section breaks  Tap Delete on a paragraph marker 4

5 Using WordArt Inserting WordArt  Insert > Text > WordArt 5

6 Using WordArt Wrapping around objects  Use the WordArt tools on the Format tab to change this and other options Sizing WordArt  Use handles to drag and change size 6

18 Using Building Blocks Preformatted text blocks  A kind of building block  A text box that has been formatted already; you enter your own text  Insert > Text > Quick Parts  Resize, reformat, customize, and save 18

19 Applying Themes Preset groups of colors, graphics, and formatting that you can apply to any document  Page Layout > Themes > Themes Gallery 19

20 Applying Themes Customizing  Change color schemes, fonts, etc.  Save as your own  Reset changed themes to their original setting 20

21 Applying Themes Drop caps  Creates a larger first letter in a paragraph  Insert > Text > Drop Cap 21

22 Working with Views View your document in several ways Change views on the View tab or at the bottom-right side of the Word window 22

23 Working with Views Zoom controls  Change the magnification of your document  Use the View tab or the bottom-right corner of the Word window  Does not change the font size 23
