1 MHS Guidance Department Common Questions Related to… The Common Application
All students are strongly advised to use the Common Application if applying to colleges that use the Common App. Your Naviance account will sync with your Common App account to create a more seamless system of document delivery to colleges. The process will be more efficient for each college’s document management system and will allow the student and counselor to have greater access to information related to the completion of application milestones. If you have any questions about the Common Application, see your counselor with your username and password to the Commonapp.org website.

5 FAQ – SAT/ACT Reporting
Answer YES if you plan to submit ALL of your SAT scores to colleges. Answer NO if you plan to use “Score Choice” and only submit select SAT scores. Some colleges may ask for full disclosure with regards to test scores. If you do not disclose all scores on your Common App, but use score choice, this may jeopardize the integrity of the information presented on your application. If you are not sure how to proceed with this question, please speak with your counselor. Regardless of how you answer this question… You must have SAT and ACT scores sent directly to each college you are applying to from The College Board and/or ACT.

6 FAQ – Fee Waivers If you meet one of the “Fee Waiver” qualifications OR were given a FREE application letter/ /code, this section is where you will list this information. Please communicate this with your counselor as specific documentation may be needed after submitting your application.
