A sky tool in Google Earth for viewing stars and astronomical images Released August 27 th, 2007 Produced by Google through a partnership with the Space Telescope Science Institute An application for computer users to look at the universe with the click of a mouse YouTube Video On Google Sky

5 How Does It Work? Google Sky is made up of stitched photographs of the heavens pieced together to make one giant navigation able database of the universe. Basically, pictures are taken from a high-powered telescope and placed in a database which are then uploaded when using Google Earth in Sky mode

6 Why Use Google Sky? An awe-inspiring look of the universe One of the unique features of Google Sky is that you can plug in your address and the program shows you what the sky above your home looks like You can bookmark constellations, rotate the whole sky and zoom in to see details of black holes and stars
