2 NETBOOK CHECKOUT  Students are checked out 100% functional computers in good/excellent condition  Any cosmetic or other damage should be reported to Librarian within 1 week of computer check out to avoid being held responsible  Student & Parents should inspect computer to ensure that the computer is satisfactory upon check out

3 NETBOOK CHECKOUT  Student Will Receive  Netbook Computer (Lenovo x120)  Netbook Charger  Netbook Bag  Carrying Strap (Optional)

4 OUR GOAL  Every student should have a 100% functional computer 100% of the time, including 24/7 Internet access with at&t 3G wireless  If a student’s computer does not function, he/she should seek tech support immediately!  A computer that is less than 100% functional may negatively impact a student’s ability to achieve academically and fully participate in the school’s technology-based program

5 SUMMARY  Tech Support Schedule  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday during 1 st Period  Room 14 (Mr. Carmody’s Room)  Procedure  Student reports to 1 st Period for Attendance  Student asks 1 st Period Teacher to go to Tech Support in Room 14  Student receives a written pass from teacher before exiting classroom and goes DIRECTLY to Room 14

6 TECH SUPPORT WILL  Record problem with computer  Attempt to determine responsibility of damage and whether it was a no fault item (e.g. 3G not working)  Walk student to Library

7 LIBRARIAN WILL  If it’s a no fault item and there are no fees:  Check out loaner computer, if available, to student  If a loaner computer is not available, Librarian will provide student with a form indicating to their teachers that they are awaiting computer repair  Students may access many programs, assignments and class/school sites from their home computers if available  Call student from class to return original computer when it is returned fixed by SDUSD  If Student Owes Fees  Send student to Financial Office to contact parent about payment  Wait to check out loaner computer, if available, until fees are paid.
