The Dead Poets Society  What is the goal of watching this clip?  To create contexts for CITR’s setting, particularly the cultural values and social expectations of the upper middle class in the 1950s.  To strengthen your understanding of rebellion and conformity within the novel’s time period.

4. Post viewing analysis  In groups of 3-4, share your findings from your anthropological wheel.  Then, work together to complete the discussion questions on the back of your wheel.  Be prepared to share your group’s thoughts in a class discussion.
