16 What is Going to Happen?

17 [Date] [Exercise Name]  A simulated occurrence will initiate the incident  The Actor Controller will instruct you to “react”  Responders will arrive on the scene and begin to assess the situation  You may not see responders immediately. Response activities will evolve slowly because responders will need to protect themselves from the threat  Those of you who are non-ambulatory (can’t walk) may be there awhile What is Going to Happen?

18 [Date] [Exercise Name]  Important!! Continue to display your “symptoms” throughout the exercise. DO NOT STOP ACTING  Emergency responders will begin to decontaminate the victims  Be prepared to be decontaminated. You should be wearing a swimsuit – you will be asked to remove your clothes!  During decontamination, you will be hosed off with water  Your clothing and other personal items should be bagged and tagged. You will be told where to collect your valuables at the end of the exercise What is Going to Happen?

19 [Date] [Exercise Name]  After decontamination, you will be “triaged” – prioritized for treatment  No invasive treatments (no medicines or needles)  Some actors will be transported to the hospitals prior to the start of the exercise.  Actors will be transported back to the exercise site for lunch and to sign out.  Water will be available during the exercise – DRINK IT!  Follow the instructions of the Actor Controller What is Going to Happen?
