3 Inequalities in access to employment Non-spatial perspective: education, income and occupation related to the different rewards for different levels of skill and therefore, generate inequalities ‘Trapped’ hypothesis: reflects differences in people’s ability to secure a job e.g. migrants/NESB. Spatial perspective: considers where a person lives relative to where the jobs are and occupational mobility.
