2 What is the Automated Meeting Attendance Tool? l Attendees log their attendance at each meeting l Attendance is calculated l Retains historic attendance data l Provides an electronic roster of who was at each session l Provides mechanism to record attendee affiliation

3 BEFORE YOU USE THE ATTENDANCE TOOL: ! You must have an IEEE Web Account! ! You must log into myProject and enroll in your committee !

4 Background Information There are 3 databases that are used; each links to the other. The key ingredient is your address. 1. IEEE Web Account (IEEE Database) l User name and password are chosen l address is key l More information More information 2. myProject (Standards Association Database) l More information More information 3. 5 IEEE Web Account (IEEE Database) l YOU ONLY NEED ONE WEB ACCOUNT! l Tracks your IEEE and SA Membership l Any one can get a Web Account (including non-members), l Your address is the key! l Retains LDAP data for your Web Account access to all IEEE online services. l Provides the stepping stone for further IEEE services ( alias, online membership renewal, etc.). l Get an IEEE Web Account Get an IEEE Web Account

6 myProject (Standards Association Database) l This database uses data from IEEE Web Accounts. address is the key! l Provides access to PAR (project) data l Provides access to the Sponsor Ballot process l Provides mechanism to manage rosters (working group, governance, etc.) l Log onto myProject Log onto myProject

7 IEEE-SA Meeting Attendance Tool l At beginning of the Meeting, register once for the week. l Log into IMAT each time you attend a session so your attendance is recorded l Calculates attendance and voting rights l Retains historic attendance data l Provides an electronic roster of who was at each session l Provides mechanism to record attendee affiliation l Uses your IEEE Web Account l Access information is provided at the meeting.

Do you have an IEEE Web Account (IEEE Database)? l NO : l GO CREATE A WEB ACCOUNT click hereclick here l FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE NEW WEB ACCOUNT l YES: l I have an IEEE Web Account and remember your username and password. l GO TO STEP 2 (myProject Activity Profile) l MAYBE: l I have an IEEE Web Account but dont remember the password (username see Michael or Christina). l RESET YOUR PASSWORD click hereclick here STEP 2. Did you enter your activity profile in myProject (Standards Association Database)? l NO: l Log onto myProject click hereclick here l FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS l Click Manage Activity Profile l Expand IEEE COMPUTER SOCIETY l Expand LOCAL AND METROPOLITAN AREAS NETWORKS l Check the box for the committees in GREEN that you are interested in l Click CONTINUE l Claim affiliation l YES: Go to step 3 STEP 3. Register your attendance with the Automated Tool at each session l Log onto the local server at:
