8. Sample: 2 nd Grade Reading Measures Measure # 1All students will show growth in two of four measures of PALS text reading (Measures include text level, words per minute, fluency, comprehension). Unique exceptions will be quantified or additional information collected to represent student growth. For all students in a class, teachers will select two of four measures of text reading (text level, words per minute, fluency, and/or comprehension). Different measures may be used for individual students. A comparison of measured scores will be made between fall and spring to identify growth. Measure #2Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening PALS summed score. (Year 1 Pilot) Student data will be gathered and presented on the PALS summed score.The PALS summed score is comprised of the grade level word list and spelling list. 8

9. Measure # 1: NWEA RIT scores. All students will show growth. Unique exceptions will be quantified or additional information collected to represent student growth. RIT growth will be calculated by comparing NWEA math scores from fall to spring. Measure #2: Student growth percentiles. Increase in aggregated percentage of students at moderate/high growth levels. Unique exceptions will be quantified or additional information collected to represent student growth.
