8 When we dance we use fans and drums and wear bright clothing. We do this dance in the villages to celebrate festivals or some one important to welcome

There is a big drum and lots of noise. The time when most people perform is the first 15 days after the Spring Festival. 10 The Chinese Knot by Zhang Xiaoya. The Chinese knot is very important in my culture. It means many things. It began in China after China was unified by Qinshi Huang. He also built the Great Wall and big clay soldiers. Chinese knots are craftwork. 10

We decorate our cars with Chinese knots! Grandpa loves it too! 11

They mean the wisdom of ancient Chinese civilization and are made by winding red cord to express blessings. Red is our good luck color. During Spring Festival we decorate our house with Chinese knots. Sometimes we try to tie them. It is very hard because it is made of only one piece of string. 12

13 Hi, I am Du Ping. We believe the snake year we will be wise. We can be clever and say few words. We think our business will do well and make lots of money. We will have an active year. By the way, fish means we will have lots to eat!
