2 TRAVL User Group Conference 2006 Plans for this Year Add around 25 surveys a year to the database Opportunities for Increasing data collection Travel plans Monitoring the use of Blue Badge spaces and bicycle parking Subdivide some land use categories Expand freight information on the database Data input upgrade

3 TRAVL User Group Conference 2006 TRAVL Survey Programme Around 25 surveys this year depends on survey types mixed use with residential surveys are more expensive software upgrade for data input Plan for 50 iTRACE travel plan monitoring surveys this year Aim to concentrate on ‘what the market requires’ NEED Suggestions from YOU!

6 TRAVL User Group Conference 2006 Opportunities to Increase Data iTRACE = increase demand for surveys 50 this year? approved list of survey companies to undertake surveys using the TRAVL methodology trained and moderated in undertaking TRAVL surveys Surveys privately undertaken may be purchased must be considered to be of value to TRAVL Users must meet TRAVL methodology standards Surveys funded in partnership All are subject to separate validation

11 TRAVL User Group Conference 2006 TRAVL and Freight Improve the information available The Issues Some surveys do not have any delivery details Few surveys have freight vehicle category data No information is available on delivery type origin – destinations number of other deliveries Freight vehicles not included in Parking Count at start and end of survey Overnight deliveries need to be recorded
