3 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success K-12 alignment of an academically rigorous and relevant curriculum, Encourage, recognize, promote, and compensate innovation and achievement, Recruitment, retention, and development of highly effective teachers and staff, A provision of a safe and secure environment where teachers can teach and students can learn, Effective collaboration between all stakeholders for opportunities that will enhance discovery, explorations, and pursuit of dreams and aspirations for FSD3 students, Promote an inviting environment where all FSD3 stakeholders feel they are valued members of the FSD3 family, The gaining of knowledge and skills needed to be productive citizens and recognize the value of self and others. 6 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SA1-Identify and compile resources, researched- based instructional strategies, technology, and aligned pre and post assessments that support a standards-based approved ELA, Math, Science, Health, Social Studies, and Fine Arts curriculum that is rigorous and relevant. Needs will be identified through quarterly assessments e.g. Benchmarks/Flanagan’s, technology proficiency exams, walk-throughs, etc.

E.g. Empowering Writing, AIMS, E-proficiency

9 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SA4-Establish and monitor intervention program(s) that will provide academic assistance to students not meeting academic standards K-12. Identify Tier I students for RTI, Classworks, Intervention Block/Small Group Instruction, Door Buster/Before School Program, After-School Program

10 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success Hire and develop teachers who are highly qualified, competent, caring, and technologically proficient Establish professional development opportunities which will increase teacher proficiencies in the TAP instructional rubric, technology, and improve student achievement through the improvement of instruction while maintaining the highly qualified status of all content teachers.

15 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success T/AQ5-Provide monthly meetings of all school leadership teams to discuss aspects of instruction and the implementation of the Teacher Advancement Systems in the schools. T/AQ5-Conduct weekly leadership team meetings to discuss aspects of instruction and the implementation of the Teacher Advancement Systems. Leadership Team will attend monthly district TAP meetings.

19 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SC2-Establish parent/family involvement programs to help families set up environments that support education/learning. SC2-The school will provide parent/family involvement programs that assist families in setting up environments that support education/learning. (Parent Academy, Family Nights, Parent Liaison- community/school contact)

20 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SC3-Implement professional development trainings district wide for employees and school improvement councils on Joyce Epstein’s Framework, effective parent conferences, and trainings and conferences for our parents through our parent academy and parent conferences. SC3- Teachers and school improvement council members will attend professional development trainings on Joyce Epstein’s Framework and effective parent conferences. Additional trainings and conferences for parents will be provided through the district Parent Academy, School Family Nights, and Parent –Student- Teacher Conferences.

21 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SC4-Establish effective means of home/school communication. SC4-Establish effective means of home/school communication to include, Agendas, weekly newsletters, Tiger Time News, translator, school and class webpages, etc.

22 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SC5-Update district crisis management plans. Monitor school level plans. Hold tabletop drills. Train identified staff in National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) trainings. SC5-Update and monitor school crisis management plans. Hold monthly drills. Identify key personnel to be (NIMS) trained. Attend scheduled district trainings.

23 DISTRICT SES Ensure All Students are Prepared for Success SC6-Continue the Coordinated School Health Advisory Council (CSHAC). Monitor each school health improvement plan ensuring alignment to the district plan and policy. SC6- Identify Health content teacher to serve on district committee. Assist in developing/ monitoring the school health plan. Implement the CATCH program in the PE Curriculum.
