11 My Story about learning English When I was young I learnt ABC from my first English teacher,who was a young girl and just graduated fom No.2 HS in 1983. At the time my interest started, I was competing with my deskmate in learning English words. Over time I made full use of my English textbooks, newspapers and magines. I found words were meaningful and interesting in articles. I dreamt of talking with foreigners. By the time I was 18, my dream had come true. Almost all my college English teachers were teaching English in English, for these foreign teachers from GB couldnot spoke any Chinese. I also studied English from the radio and TV programmes. As a result my English level was lifted greatly and I was confident to be a good English teacher when I was 23. From then on I worked hard to be an excellent English teacher.I used to rely on the Internet to learn English. There are many websites on the Internet in English that help me increase my vocabulary and my listening, speaking, reading and writing have been practised conveniently. As time went by I have got many medals in teaching competitions. Now I am teaching English to students in different levels and I, frequently, help young teachers teach English well. As I grow older I believe my memory will drop, but my English vocabulary is sure to be enlarged. To my joy,My students will learn English well with my help. Task 4
