Activities 1.Students will begin their studies of Ohio by reading the book Freedom River by Doreen Rappaport 2.After reading about the Underground Railroad, the students will write a poem describing events in Freedom River 3.Students will get onto the Ohio Kids website and play the game of What Is My Name specifically “Famous Ohioans” 4.As a class, we will take a field trip to the performance of Blue Jacket 5.The students will look at a variety of old photographs and use those photographs to discuss the similarities or differences of daily life between the past and present
