Collar pack # 1 Choice of the radial shim The purpose of this first collar pack was to assess the radial shim size HQ 15-16-17 and 20 coils are made with a revised (smaller) cable and are expected to have overall dimensions close to nominal. For the record, HQ 15 was tested in HQM04 Comparison between CMM measurements, nominal collar dimensions led to the adjustment of the radial shim from.036” to 0.032” The alignment key was not shimmed during this assembly. 02/22/2013H.
