19 The 2007 Outstanding Educator Feedback Forum: 1. How do we prepare elementary and middle school students for rigorous high school requirements? Especially math? 2. How can we meet the demand for HQTs, particularly in math and science, to successfully implement the new diploma? 3. How do schools balance academic rigor with relevant and personalized learning? 4. How should the essential skills be assessed? What resources do teachers need to ensure that students are proficient in these skills? 5. How do we make the education plan and profile meaningful for students? 6. How do we make “credit for proficiency” vs. “seat time” a viable options for students and maintain consistency throughout the state? Communications
