1 Symbolism Day 1: 10/28/13 Colors can represent so many things: love, peace, life or death. The Center for Disease control wants to spread the message of hope for young children who are in need of a heart transplant. Writing Task: On loose leaf paper, write a strong introduction convincing the CDC of what color they should use to represent hope for children.

You must use the reasons identified in the paragraph. The amount of information presented in the world today increases every hour. Although misguided, some people might actually argue that the use of individual student technology would cause a distraction amongst students within the class. After weighing different factors, I support the efforts of students bringing their own technology. Having full access to the World Wide Web will help students access more current information. This will also help offset the school’s budget to purchase accessible technology.

10 Day 4 Task 10/31/13: Choose a topic from the Argumentative Essay List: Write a 3 paragraph argumentative essay using your Persuasive Bookmark. This will be collected and must be completed by the end of the period. Peer Swap: Swap papers with a peer. Complete the Peer Task Card. Your essay and the Peer Task Card must be turned in for 2 separate grades!

Write an essay describing the most important quality a hero should have? Your essay must be 3 paragraphs and follow the yellow bookmark. This will be graded as a test! Use all of your resources (bookmark, white, orange, green sheets and previous writings). YOUR WORK WILL BE COLLECTED!!!
