Mark a line at the center of the canvas for its entire length. Place frame on a table or saw horses, bottom up.

Cut Here Place canvas over frame and cut off excess.

Stretch and staple canvas along the D and E Strakes. Start with a staple at the center of strake D, then put several staples to the left and right of center. Move to the Strake E and do the same. Continue, alternating between strake D and E. Start here

Carefully Cutoff excess to make Panels 1 - 4. Panel 1 Panel 3 Panel 2 Panel 4

Panel 2 Panel 4 Panel 1 Panel 3 Cut Here Factory finished edge. 1. Stretch and staple Panel 1 to the D strake, running a bead of glue along the overlap. 2. Stretch and staple Panel 1 to the C strake (cover the full width of the strake. Trim the excess canvas. Factory finished edge.

Panel 3 Cut Here Panel 1 Trim Panel 1 around the cockpit area, leaving enough material to wrap around the underside of the H and F strakes. Panel 2 Panel 4

Panel 3 Staple to the underside of the H and F strakes and to Rib 2 on the inside of the cockpit. Do not staple around the outside of the cockpit! Cut/Slit Here Panel 2 Panel 4

Panel 3 Panel 2 1. Overlap Panel 1 with Panel 2. 2. Fold over the top edge of Panel 2 to make a nice “hem”. 3. Alternate stretch and staple between strake C and E. 4. Seal overlapping edges at strake C and E with Liquid Nails. Factory finished edge. Foldover this edge. Panel 4

Panel 3 Attach Panel 3 just like Panel 1. Factory finished edge. Panel 4

Trim and Slit Panel 3 just like Panel 1.

Panel 4 Attach Panel 4 just like Panel 2.

Trim, stretch, fold, staple, and glue the excess material at the bow and stern.

Now you need to cut and apply the overlapping side panels./ Cut these panels from the excess cut off the stern earlier. You’ll need two pieces approximately 10” by 60”.

Trim the ends of the panels like shown to give it a more finished look. Fold and staple the cockpit edge around the underside of the H and F strakes. Apply glue on the overlapping areas. Staple along the D and E strakes.
