Parents Providing for Infants The USDA permits parents to provide some meals components for infants. –The center is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of all meals components for all participants, whether the parent provides some or all of the meals components This includes: –Formula –Infant Cereal –Meat / Meat Alternates –Fruits and Vegetables –Bread or Crackers

3. If the parent declines all center- provided formula and foods, you may not claim the infant’s meals. Parents Providing for Infants

4. Parents Providing Meals At the State’s discretion, children’s meal components may be provided by parents. The components must be creditable, and the center must supply the majority of the meals components in order to claim the meal for reimbursement.
