3 Meet Peter

4 Meet Mary Mary I have spent more than 20 years as a full-time public participation practitioner and counsel within a state environmental and natural resources agency. Writing and carrying out public participation plans, working with individuals and communities, serving as a member of agency planning teams, training staff and management – all are part of this work. I have work on conservation issues including endangered species protection, forest management, wildlife management and recreational planning as well as environmental issues such as permitting facilities, contamination cleanup, site utility and other facilities and more I have been with IAP2 since – as a chapter member and president, international conference chair, board member, and trainer. It has been an invaluable resource in this work and I thank all my IAP2 colleagues for helping me grow in this profession.

5 Meet Stephani Stephani I have more than 17 years of experience engaging organizations, communities and individuals in public policy issues at the local, regional and national levels in Canada. She has worked on issues related to health care, environment, climate change, eco system and conservation initiatives, municipal land use and urban planning, regulatory and legislative impacts of food production, distribution and sale such as organics and labeling, and community based visioning and strategic planning. She has extensive experience with diverse and marginalized communities. She specializes in issues of high conflict and controversy, working to create common ground and lasting change.
