4 Greek Mythology - Greeks believed in many gods and goddesses - They believed these deities affected lives and events - Best buildings devoted to the gods

5 - Greeks believed the 12 most important gods lived on Mt. Olympus, the highest in Greece - Many Greek myths. The gods would hold special powers but look and act like humans - They were married, had children, argued with each other, fought wars

7 - Greeks followed rituals to earn the gods favor. They hoped the gods would grant them favor in return. - Pray, give gifts, festivals - Greeks believed in prophecy, or predictions about the future. They visited an oracle to receive a prophecy. - The most famous oracle was the Temple of Apollo at Delphi.
