Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 10 Push and turn knob Operation 2 3 1 The centrally positioned push and turn knob has several functions: Turning clockwise will change to higher values and vice versa A short push will confirm the setting A long push (appr. 3 secs) will a)start the parameter menue b)go back to the previous input level

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 11 User hierarchy entering the installer or OEM code will enable additional parameters for adjustment Please press and at the same time and hold Enter the code by turning and pushing the knob for confirmation for each number separately. The installer code default is 1234 Parameter input

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 12 Operating keys Day room setpoint Night (reduced)room setpoint Operation This key enters the desired room setpoint for automatic operation and the operation modes „heating“ and „party“. In the standard function this is the setpoint for all heating circuits of the controller This key enters the desired reduced room setpoint for automatic operation and the operation modes „absent“ and „reduced“. In the standard function this is the setpoint for all heating circuits of the controller

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 13 c Operation Operating keys Warm water day setpoint Operating mode key This key enters the desired warm water setpoint for automatic operation and the operation modes „heating“ and „party“ and „summer “. This key enters the desired operating mode. A cursor will show at the bottom of the display in combination with an explanatory text in the first line. In the standard function the operation mode is valid for the whole controller The same key serves as escape key i.o. to return to the standard display

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 14 Heating curve Operation, heating curve Operating keys This key enters the desired heating curve for all circuits in the controller. Adjustment range: 0,20...3,5 Default: unmixed heating circuit:=1,50 mixed heating circuit:=1,00 Returning to the basic display is either possible by pressing this key twice or waiting for 60 seconds

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 15 Operation, status info With this info key the user can display various status information about inputs and outputs. The info is always starting with the outdoor temperature. By turning the knob clockwise all activated information can be reached. Setpoint can be displayed by pressing the knob. When entering a value this key can also be used to move the cursor one position back. System information Operating keys

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 16 Manual Operation Operating keys, district heating Manual key Pressing this key longer than 5 sec. will switch the controller into manual mode. Here the heat generator setpoint can be adjusted with the knob. All pumps will be running, while vales can only be operated by moving either the motor or the valve by hand. The heatgenerator setpoint is adjustable between 5..80°C. The setpoint is displayed as well as the actual temperature. The switching differential is according to the parameter And is symmetrical to the setpoint.

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 17 Manual Operation Operating keys, heating Manual key, emission test In addition to the described manual function, this key can be used to start the emission test phase for the service man. With a short push of this button the boiler will operate with it´s adjusted max. temperature limit for a periode of 20 minutes. The remaining time will be displayed. By pushing and holding the key the controller will ignore the max. limit and the temperature an reach a higher value in order to test the safety limiter.

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 18 Cold start By pressing and holding all 4 keys at the same time a cold start is carried out. (return to default settings) This cold start will only effect the parameters of the activated operating hierarchy. The date/time setting and all switching programmes are effected also Variable cold start

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 19 1. Check controller wiring 2. Switch on power after segmenttest a similar line will appear: 26.06 V.1.00 date und version of software. 3. Please check if weekday, date, month and actual time are ok. If not please adjust in appropriate parameter menue. (controller will be delivered with running clock) 4. Please press the keys and at the same time and hold until CODE appears in the top line Enter installer code 1 2 3 4 with push and turn knob The display will switch to the standard picture after about 2 sek. 5. Hold push and turn knob until the menue switching times will appear and turn the knob clockwise until the menue hydraulic appears. Confirm by pushing, then parameter 01 will show 0000 6. Enter system hydraulic number, e.g. 0201, or individual hydraulic parameters. First start up

Smile training Smile_training_engl. Sept.02.ppt Honeywell Proprietary Jan. 31st, 2002 20 Decisions before start up: Do I treat all heatconsumers as one? (Then: System/operation mode=1) Do I use only one time program per consumer? (Then: system/ program = P1) Do I treat heatconsumers individually? (Then: System/operation mode=2) Do I want different time programs for individual heatconsumers? (Then: System/operation mode=2 and system/program=P1-P3) Start up
