3 Chaos theory is a field of study in mathematics, with applications in several disciplines including physics, engineering, economics, biology, and philosophy. Chaos theory studies the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions, an effect which is popularly referred to as the butterfly effect.mathematicsphysicsengineeringeconomicsbiologyphilosophydynamical systemsbutterfly effect Small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for such dynamical systems, rendering long-term prediction impossible in general. [1] This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future behavior is fully determined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. [2] In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable. [3][4] This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos. [1]deterministicrandom [2] [3][4]

18 The Ocean of data in corporate cyberspace (databases) ANY DATA How active use of Perception Psychology can enrich data in various ways(!)

19 How to know what is important, from the ”not so important” ? …Modern technology can easily show you which «facts» should be given more attention than others… PROBLEM: …It takes years of playing to get enough experience to see only the red moves… …In a way: Letting the machine set the colors for you gives you «Instant Experience»… …but in chess this would be cheating!

20 How to know what is important, from the ”not so important” ? 98% behind schedule! Really Bad! 55% behind schedule! Bad… 55% behind schedule! AND 2000 Hours = DISHASTER Ahead of schedule Great! 98% behind schedule! But 0 Hrs – NO PROBLEM!

21 …and this is just ONE of many uses of perception psychology…

39 Active Directory integration. Tooltips in histograms. Support for custom Annotations (callouts and vertical lines) in histogram and Gantt. Paging of histogram charts – multiple histograms can be generated, e.g one for each discipline Allows defining calculated (formula based) rows in the histogram. Support for Interactive Chart Control in a DataLayout. Allows drag-and-drop directly in the X-Y chart. Find Panel – Allows filtering across all columns. Support for custom coloring schemes for split bar histograms (E.g: Assign specific color to each project) Support for adding a Pivot Chart in a DataLayout control. Support for profiled spread – currently supporting Primavera or Safran formats. Support for Primavera calendar format (Safran has always been supported). Support for plugins. This allows for extending functionality in Proteus through your own.NET DLLs. Customizable headers / footers in each report from wizard. Support for generating periodic bars from DataSource with pre-periodized data containing cumulated values. Support for Project Specific configuration settings – Supports a standard, but also supports deviations…
