3 Tourism and Parks Mandate: To increase the profile and performance of the tourism industry in New Brunswick and to ensure that provincial Parks are an integral part of this effort.

4 Minister’s Office Minister – Elected Official – Cabinet Deputy Minister – non-elected To generate economic prosperity for New Brunswick through responsible promotion and development of year-round tourism activities while maintaining the environmental and cultural integrity of the province.

5 Communications Division Communications Director The Communications Division is responsible for informing the public of tourism activities in the province through ongoing relations with the media and the public. The staff ensures that the Department's message reaches the public through the various media. The Branch coordinates the Department's communications activities and advises senior officials on communications-related matters.

6 Strategic Policy and Planning Division Positions: Director, Senior Policy Analyst, Legislative Coordinator, Policy Analysts The Strategic Planning & Policy Branch is responsible for legislative support and for coordinating the Department's contribution to broader government policy issues. The branch is also responsible for the collection, management and dissemination of provincial tourism industry data, tracking, analyzing and reporting on tourism trends.

7 Financial Services Branch Positions: Manager, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel Claims The Branch provides budgeting, accounting, financial planning, monitoring, consulting, general office and administrative support services.

8 Departmental Services Unit Providing advice on purchasing and administrative policies, providing central office receptionist and postal services, coordination of telecom, asset management, office moves and space allocation.

9 Human Resource Services Branch The Branch provides programs and services that enhance organizational and individual effectiveness by ensuring that the appropriate human resources are working to meet the current and future business requirements of the Department.

10 Marketing, Development and Operations Division The Marketing Division is responsible for creating awareness and demand for New Brunswick as a year-round tourism destination, as well as generating business for the New Brunswick tourism industry.

13 Product Development Branch Regional Development and Sector Development Section The Product Development Branch provides leadership in tourism product development to all New Brunswick tourism industry operators. The Branch is responsible to execute the 2009-2012 Product Development Direction and is responsible to foster the development of year- round, consumer focused tourism experiences that deliver an exceptional New Brunswick experience to guests.
