Our production facilities for rolled steel are concentrated in Germany, whereas our tube mills and especially the trading activities are located in all relevant areas of the globe. With the recent acquisition of Klöckner-Werke we expanded our global presence, since Klöckner operates plants in for example India and China! To say it very clearly: The Salzgitter Group does not go for size in terms of tonnage or turnover. Our motto is: big enough to serve the needs of international markets, but small enough to react quickly to customer demands. The operating management is carried out within the individual companies. In our Steel Division and also the Tubes Division each single company focuses on the production of one product category. The Trading Division is our link to small and mid-sized domestic customers on the one hand and to the world markets on the other hand. It comprises a complex warehousing trade organization in Europe and a global trading network. Our Services Division mainly provides the necessary support activities for our producing steel and tubes companies.
