10 What It Will Take to Succeed Start with current projects and see how they fit into Strategic Initiatives; then prioritize them A Systems Engineering Approach is critical (includes alternatives analysis, stakeholder participation in project scoping, life-cycle costing, benefit/cost analysis, etc.)

11 What It Will Take to Survive Business units working together with other business units and with the IT Department to build an internal architecture that will support MDT’s Core Functions — one project at a time. Training in the use of information management, standards and systems engineering will help equip staff to make project specification and procurement align with Strategic Plan elements
