4. 4 Introduction Edexcel BTEC Level 1 Qualifications in Health and Social Care These new qualifications have been developed in collaboration with the Sector Skills Council - Skills for Care and Development and in consultation with employers and training providers. They introduce learners to employment within the Health and Social Care sector. They cover the latest industry requirements.

We expect to be able to offer these qualifications to pre-16 learners early in 2012 when the new criteria are known.
