We will also be asking all of the children to sign up for the Sport Relief Mile event the youth centre is planning to hold at Hartletts Park straight after school on the 23rd. This term and next, we will be running a series of 30 minute Health Living Workshops. The workshops will be delivered by Sam Hexter- Andrews, Anti-Social Behaviour Officer for Hart District Council and Lee Thurbon, Accredited Community Safety Officer for Hampshire County Council. Topics covered will include healthy eating, anti-social behaviour, personal safety, internet safety, substance misuse, alcohol and smoking. 2 Parent Helper Rota A parent helper form for this term is attached. If you feel you could volunteer once a term (or even more!), please return the attached sheet or send an e-mail to Lindsay Graham (Year 6 Base Team Leader) at shearmur.graham@tiscali.co.uk indicating both how often you would like to help and your availability.shearmur.graham@tiscali.co.uk We will then organise the parent helper rota and let you know which night(s) we would like you to come. We also plan to remind you either by e-mail or phone the week before. All new parent helpers will be taken around by a leader on their first evening and introduced to everyone, shown where everything is and what we do and how we do it. If you have not yet helped out at The Base, we urge you to try and do so. As well as being a great way to get involved in your local community and support young people, it can also be great fun! Valuables Please do not let your child bring valuable items to youth club as we cannot be responsible for their damage or loss. Remember the youth centre is used by many people during the course of the week and items left behind may not be there the next time they come. Mobile Phones May we remind you that the use of mobile phones and personal electronic devices by members is not permitted at any time during the session. In an emergency your child will be able to use the centre’s phone and vice versa (Tel: 01256 761897).
