1. WIGOS Implementation Plan Priority Activity for TT WIGOS-I Timeline Revision, Analysis, Further Enhancement of RA VI WIGOS IP ongoing Assist RA VI Members to develop their national WIPs - Develop mechanisms for efficient cooperation with focal points - Organize workshops and prepare guidance document foreseen in the period of

Support for WIGOS Implementation Priority Activity for TT WIGOS-I Timeline Establish concrete tools for the cooperation with the other related bodies (technical commissions of WMO, WGs of the other RAs, EUMETNET, etc.. ongoing Follow new developments and technologies on observing systems for implementing in RA VI Review the existing reference documents (CIMO Guide 8, Technical Regulations-WMO 49, etc.) - Develop recommendations for determining technical requirements and siting conditions of the observation systems - Analyse the common problems of members due to the rapid urbanisation around the observation networks, and developing solution algorithms

Realizing WIGOS via Regional Observation Networks Priority Activity for TT WIGOS-I / TT RIC Timeline Determine the needs of the existing Regional Observation Networks for upgrading, enhancing and operating them by considering the requirements of Members foreseen in the period of To develop mechanisms for efficient use of RICS; - Review the capacities and needs of RICs - Improve the cooperation among RICs Realize WIGOS via regional observation networks - Review the regional observation networks (weather radars, wind profilers, lightning detection systems, etc.) - Develop mechanisms and guidance for improving the existing ones and establish new regional observation networks - Develop tools for data exchange via regional observation networks

Monitoring and Integrated Quality Management Priority Activity for TT WIGOS-I Timeline Integrate the Quality Monitoring and control activities of the members; - Establish a QM process in which the RA VI members can participate in the further development of the RA VI WIP, - Implement real-time (quality) monitoring in coordination with EUMETNET & EUCOS QM portal, - Develop real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities; incorporating existing EUMETNET & EUCOS monitoring portal, foreseen in the period of 5. Coordination and Supervision of the Migration Priority Activity for TT MTDCF Timeline Continue an active and regular communication process with the national focal points. Restructure this communication process. vividly ongoing Continue a RA VI monitoring of the migration to TDCF by collecting (oral) progress and problem reports from the focal points. TDCF became reality since Nov 2014 TT accompanies this migration with vivid discussions Some NCs already stopped TAC dissemination for Synop 5. Decisions/Actions from last Workshop Priority Activity for TT RMDCN-I Timeline Submit new working and Reporting structure (ROC, TT-RMDCN) to RA VI MG WG Chair Create a document which will summarize the existing RMDCN-NG backup options, including cost requirements as information for the RMDCN-NG users TT-leader in 2015 Members expressed strongly, that it is still necessary to preserve the connection diagrams showing the meteorological telecommunication network in RA VI Members also raised the question, if the proposed new communication structures using web services is seen as formal WMO communication (as traditional documents) and therefore is mandatory (in parallel to traditional documents?) WG chair

Priority Activity for TT RIC Timeline TT-RIC has established collaboration between MeteoMet2 Project and Slovenian NMI to improve and facilitate laboratory intercomparison and electronic form of the foreseen questionnaire WG Chair Combination of questionnaire on calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) of NMHSs calibration labs with the basic info on interlaboratory comparison TT-leader in 2015 Electronic questionnaire on MeteoMet2 website (with logo of MeteoMet project and WMO RA VI). All the data on CMCs will be strictly used for WMO purposes and finally published at WMO server. WMO RAVI support posting invitation letter for interlaboratory comparison and questionnaire to PR of NMHSs in RAVI. Foreseen start is September 2015. WG chair

Especially in DWD, ECMWF, Météo France, Roshydromet and UKMetOffice. Identify similar work in different centres and recommend synergies ongoing (draft report) Monitor and publish improvements and new development in local area weather models in RA VI. Especially in the consortia Aladin, Cosmo, Hirlam and Lace. Identify similar work in different centres and recommend synergies Analyse radar cooperation networks, especially Baldrad and Opera.
