1 Activities How to choose appropriate activities for each skill level. By Michelle Gurzynski EDU 649 Technologies for Teaching & Learning Instructor: Nicole Runyon April 20, 2011

2 Setting: Online University Course Learners located throughout the US Learners are of different age levels Learning is Asynchronous Learners are all individuals that are either physical education teachers at the moment or aspire to be a physical education teacher in the future.

3 Learning Styles Most are visual learners Few are auditory learners Few are Kinesthetic learners

4 Learning styles are supported through YouTube videos Graphics Spoken words within videos and PowerPoint Encouraging to share personal experiences Allowing the students to use activities that they have personally designed during their personal experiences.

5 Teaching Style NC State University inventory described me as a visual learner listing my score as a 9 on their scale. I was balanced between all of the other different types of teaching styles.

7 Objective - Purpose Understand how to choose appropriate games/activities for different age and skill levels

8 Activity Instructions: Find two games/activities for each grade/age level that are appropriate for the skills that each level has achieved. Insert the title of the games/activity into the appropriate boxes in the table. If you are choosing a game that will need modifications to it for the age level you are choosing them make sure that the modifications you are making are clear so that I understand what is being changed and how. Once completed attach the table into the weekly assignment area through the submission link. Make sure to include a copy of each game/activity inside the assignment area as well, so that I can match them up with titles in the table.
